Wrongful Death Litigation
The Law Offices of Paul M. Cramer, LLC has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the estate of a 92 year old woman who was struck and killed by a truck while walking across Fairland Drive in Fairfield, Connecticut. Our client resided at 192 Fairland Drive and the incident happened directly in front of her house. At the time of her death she was a healthy, independent and active woman. She was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her third great grandchild. The defense is claiming that our client walked directly in front of the defendant’s vehicle and there was nothing he could do to avoid the accident. In light of the fact that it was broad daylight, a straight road with no obstructions, and the fact that our client was 92 years old and could not “dart” into the path of a vehicle, we have alleged that the driver was negligent and inattentive to his surroundings and failed to keep a proper lookout. This case is scheduled for trial on November 6, 2014 at Bridgeport Superior Court.
